CTOnews.com April 4 News, two reliable sources, Moore's Law is Dead (MLID) and RedGamingTech, have recently released information about the AMD Zen 5 processor (which may be called the Ryzen 8000 series after the launch).

The two reliable sources agreed on some specifications of the Zen 5 processor, but disagreed on how much performance had been improved.

CTOnews.com learned from the report that both sources indicated that AMD's Zen 5 processor would be made by TSMC's 4nm and 3nm processes. Desktop CPU uses 4nm process, while some APU (others are 4nm) and next-generation server CPU use 3nm process.

RedGamingTech believes that Zen 5 has a range of 20-25% IPC improvements, which means up to 30% in single-threaded tasks.

MLID, on the other hand, is more conservative, saying that the performance of Zen 5 has improved by 15 per cent.
