Prior to this, Tencent has obtained permission from Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Shanghai to issue city advanced driving assistance maps.

Up to now, Tencent has covered 380000 kilometers of high-precision map data on expressways and urban expressways across the country. In the future, Tencent will continue to carry out high-precision map research and application in key cities, accelerate coverage of ordinary roads in hundreds of cities across the country, and promote business layout such as intelligent network connection of cars and intelligent transportation.

Tencent supports an integrated map data acquisition system, which can realize the "three-in-one" of standard map, lane-level map and high-precision map data, and provide users with a continuous and smooth navigation experience under different driving modes, such as manual driving, auxiliary driving, intelligent driving and so on.

CTOnews.com once reported that the Ministry of Natural Resources issued a notice on doing a good job in the pilot application of intelligent network-connected automobile high-precision maps in August 2022, supporting pilot and demonstration applications such as advanced driving maps, urban ordinary roads and high-precision location navigation applications in six cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou and Chongqing. On the basis of the pilot work, we will strive to form a technical path and demonstration model for the safety application of autopilot-related maps that can be copied and popularized throughout the country. Subsequently, as key demonstration cities, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Shanghai and Hangzhou successively issued permits for the pilot of Gaojing Map cities to encourage relevant licensed enterprises to carry out pilot work on the application of related technologies.

So far, the number of enterprises that have passed the review is 19, a decrease of 12 compared with the number of enterprises with Class A surveying and mapping qualifications before. Tencent Land access was approved by Class A surveying and mapping qualification review at the beginning of 2022, and has been approved by high-precision maps of Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Hangzhou and other pilot cities.
