The new fulcrum operating system desktop environment installation package is only 104m, lightweight desktop environment, optimize the resource utilization, improve the overall operating efficiency, occupy less resources but have a faster experience.

New fulcrum extraordinary Desktop Environment (EX-NDE) this open source project, named "New fulcrum Outstanding Desktop Environment (EX-NDE)", is jointly created by the new fulcrum operating system and the OpenCloudOS community, and consists of desktop components and NDE-Wayland architecture. In the future, it will work with the OpenCloudOS community to promote a comprehensive breakthrough in the Tencent ecosystem.

Extraordinary Desktop (referred to as EX-NDE) is a super-integrated lightweight desktop environment, which enables the system to have three interaction modes of desktop, server and tablet, which can run smoothly in different device scenarios such as lower configuration intelligent terminals, tablets, all-in-one machines, PC, workstations and servers, and reduce the fragmentation of the system.

The new fulcrum EX-NDE desktop environment is divided into two main bodies: desktop components and NDE-Wayland architecture.

Desktop components: independent research and development based on QT, while ensuring lightweight compatibility and ease of use has also been greatly improved, because a complete set of desktop systems based on QT, compared with the interface of GTK, its portability and ease of use of code, in the GUI development scenario, is more favored by developers, and has a desktop interaction that is more in line with the habits of our people.

NDE-Wayland architecture: using the current mainstream Wayland architecture, so that the desktop can run in a more lightweight environment, more importantly, in the current trend of mobile chips, Wayland architecture is about to replace x11 to become the mainstream, and will be better compatible with mobile ecology in the future.

With the support of the above two lightweight solutions, the new fulcrum EX-NDE desktop environment is a super-integrated intelligent lightweight desktop system that can integrate the two, can run smoothly on a variety of low-configuration intelligent devices, supports the selection of server, desktop and tablet modes, and can realize the simultaneous use of a set of code in three scenarios, greatly reducing software development costs and solving the fragmentation of the operating system.
