CTOnews.com noticed that Xiaopeng G6 had already appeared in the new car catalogue of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The new car is based on Xiaopeng's third-generation F platform and is positioned as a medium-sized sedan SUV.

In terms of appearance, the overall shape of Xiaopeng G6 is similar to that of Tesla Model Y, but it still continues Xiaopeng's latest generation of family design language, with Xiaopeng's iconic penetrating LED light belt and split headlamp design on the front face. The car uses a hidden door handle and a slip-back styling design for the roof. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4753*1920*1650mm, and the wheelbase is 2890mm.
