The new code mainly focuses on technological innovations and basic software package upgrades, such as Kmesh acceleration on the data side of the service grid, openGemini timing database, and iSulad support for split of mirrored RO data management directories, including 30,000 lines of original kernel code, mainly focusing on new features such as Linux 6.1 kernel scheduling system and memory management system optimization.

OpenEuler 23.03 uses Linux Kernel 6.1kernel to explore the technology ahead of time for the future long life cycle version of openEuler using 6.x kernel. It is also convenient for developers to carry out hardware adaptation, basic technology innovation and upper application innovation. OpenEuler 23.03 currently supports mainstream chip architectures and hardware such as X86, Arm and raspberry pie.

The PSI mechanism provides a detailed view of the use of resources in the system. The new kernel adds support and optimization to per-cgroup PSI and IRQ / SoftIRQ PSI to help businesses evaluate the use of system resources more accurately and to improve and optimize resource scheduling strategies.

The GCC plug-in module supports LTO complex optimization plug-ins, adds 14 new types of GIMPLE support, increases GIMPLE coverage from 26% to 80%, greatly expands the scope of GCC plug-in support, and helps developers develop efficient optimization plug-ins for different hardware platforms, giving full play to the diversity of openEuler computing power.

The secGear secret computing framework supports Kunpeng TEE advanced interface, shields the underlying remote authentication and key agreement capabilities, supports the end-to-end data protection capability of secret computing, and realizes the full life cycle security of user keys in Gaussian full-secret database scenarios.

The multi-path feature of NFS client supports multiple IP access to a single NFS mount point. By establishing multiple links between the client and the server under a single mount point, it supports IO transmission in multiple links, thus improving the performance of a single mount point. At the same time, link state information is detected periodically to support link failure IO fast handover.

Developers from Chengdu Jingrong introduce JailHouse for openEuler Embedded to implement embedded virtualization functions, and mixed key deployments support peripheral partition management.

In the cloud native scenario, a high-performance service grid data plane Kmesh based on programmable kernel is added, the performance of inter-service communication is improved by 5 times, and the delay of instant messaging services is reduced by 1 times. ISulad supports split of image RO data management directory, which helps users to flexibly manage containers and image data, and provides technical possibility for image data split, deployment and sharing.

Add support for openGemini time series database, support horizontal expansion through MPP massively parallel processing hierarchical architecture, in order to cope with the huge challenges that massive time series data bring to database performance and storage costs. In the future, it will be deeply combined with openEuler to create an integrated data storage and analysis platform for the Internet of things-operation and maintenance monitoring.

In the distributed cooperative scenario, new file and stream interfaces are added to the distributed soft bus, and nstack and fillp protocols are introduced to significantly improve the efficiency of data transmission in some typical scenarios such as unstable networks.
