CTOnews.com April 1 news, according to Reuters reports, General Motors (GM) announced that since this year began to phase out Apple's CarPlay and Google's Android Auto, instead of using the car system jointly developed with Google.

CTOnews.com learned from the report that GM said its Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC brands will start the replacement process one after another.

Starting with the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV, which went on sale this summer, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will no longer be available natively. The phase-out plan will begin in 2035 when it is deployed to fuel vehicles.

GM and Google have been developing car systems since 2019, integrating navigation, Super Cruise and many other universal exclusive services, as well as built-in apps such as Spotify and Audible.
