According to future Tucson officials, the "fuel efficient pilotage" series features Tucson's self-developed autopilot domain controller (ADC, based on Nvidia Drive Orin chip) and integrates sensor input, high-performance middleware, vehicle control unit (VCU) and self-driving application software.

CTOnews.com learned from the future official Wechat account of Tucson that the "fuel-saving pilotage" series includes two versions-fuel-saving pilotage and fuel-saving pilotage Pro, which focus on fuel-saving, safety and meet high-speed point-to-point pilotage. In addition, the fuel-efficient pilot Pro version can support L3-level autopilot in specific scenarios.

Specifically, the fuel-saving pilot series products use Tucson's self-developed autopilot algorithm to achieve the most efficient fuel-saving scheme through ETA (estimated time of arrival) calculation. Based on the BEV sensing algorithm developed by Tucson, the fuel-saving pilot series also adopts a cost-effective sensor scheme, equipped with 6 high-definition cameras and 2-angle radar, which can achieve high-speed point-to-point navigation, active security and other functions.

The fuel-efficient pilot Pro version will also carry three additional lidars with computing power up to 254TOPS, further improving perceptual distance and handling power of complex scenes-up to 350m and 200m, respectively. In addition, fuel-saving pilot Pro also has excellent ability to detect unknown and abnormal obstacles, and can identify and avoid a variety of irregular obstacles, such as tire fragments.
