CTOnews.com March 31, Microsoft today released two new internal test versions of Windows 11, the Build 23424 version of Dev Channel and the Build 25330 version of Canary Channel. According to CTOnews.com, Microsoft made some adjustments to its internal trial plan earlier this month, adding a Canary channel and transferring current Dev internal test users to this channel, while still retaining a Dev channel.

Dev preview version Build 23424, the latest developer channel version, adds two new features, one is the evolved widget panel, which has a larger canvas, can have up to three columns, and a new area, which "provides users with the ability to quickly access widgets for their applications and services, and allows users to enjoy a high-value break in their personalized information streams." the other is for plugged-in devices. Includes desktops that provide content adaptive brightness control (CABC) functions. Windows 11 users are already familiar with the CABC feature when they use batteries to power their laptops, but this feature is now extended to include plugged-in devices.

In addition, version 23424 also includes a new setting that allows you to "get the latest updates as soon as possible" under Settings > Windows updates. Although this new setting has little effect on Dev channels, only for Beta channels, "so that internal test users switch to enable packages more seamlessly", it is included in Dev channels to test back-end services.

There are no major new features in the Canary preview version of Build 25330, the Canary channel version, but there are some noteworthy changes, including letting the screenshot tool open by default with the print screen key, and providing a more Windows 11-like setup page for wheeled devices such as the Surface Dial.

Windows internal test users of Microsoft Store app version 22303.1401.x or later on Canary and Dev channels will see some changes in the store, including new ways to install free apps and games, new designs when purchasing apps and games in the store, and a new user experience with in-app rating dialogs.
