CTOnews.com, March 31 (Xinhua) following South Korean media The Elec, Ross Young, CEO of screen supply chain consulting firm DSCC, said Apple is developing a 13.4-inch MacBook Air with OLED panels.

Ross Young said in a paid tweet today that the existing OLED supply chain does not meet Apple's requirements and will focus on upgrading OLED panels for tablets such as the iPad Pro over the next few years. Apple hopes to further optimize its supply chain in the next few years, and the MacBook Pro product line will upgrade the OLED panel in 2026.

CTOnews.com learned from Ross Yang that Apple plans to launch MacBook Air and 11.1-inch / 13-inch iPad Pro models with OLED displays in 2024.

Compared with the LCD model, the Mac and iPad with OLED display will have higher brightness, contrast and power savings, thus extending battery life.
