CTOnews.com March 30, the KDE team announced today that the Plasma Mobile desktop environment for mobile devices has been successfully migrated to KDE Frameworks 6 and Qt 6.

The KDE team said that during the migration process, many components were rewritten and operations such as brightness sliders and multitasking were improved to provide a smoother interactive experience.

The new Plasma Mobile desktop environment also improves the home screen, allows keyboard navigation on the Halcyon home screen and its search components, and optimizes the lock screen animation to make it look smoother.

CTOnews.com also learned from the report that the new Plasma Mobile desktop environment optimizes the system process of management configuration, hides screen rotation settings on devices that do not support adaptive screen rotation, and quickly sets new options for managing network hotspots.

Plasma Dialer can display notifications of missed calls, Spacebar SMS clients now support proxies, Plasma Phonebook address books support mobile forms on adding contact pages and contact details, and so on.
