CTOnews.com, March 30 (Xinhua)-- according to foreign technology media WccFtech, netizens dug deep into the beta version of Diablo 4 and found documents related to Microsoft DirectStorage.

CTOnews.com attached the following picture, you can see in the Diablo 4 game folder, there are two files named dstorage.dll and dstoragecore.dll.

Blizzard officials did not make any statement on whether to support DirectStorage. If this news is confirmed, Diablo 4 will become the second game to support Microsoft DirectStorage, following Luminous Productions's Forspoken.

Microsoft launched DirectStorage API for Windows PC in 2020, which is based on Xbox's Velocity architecture, which aims to maximize game performance and throughput, and optimize modern storage interfaces (such as PCIe Gen4/5 and NVMe). You can visit here for more information.
