On March 30, Google released its 2022 Advertising Security report, which describes Google's efforts to combat abuse on various platforms in 2022.

In 2022, Google removed more than 5.2 billion ads, restricted more than 4.3 billion ads, and suspended more than 6.7 million advertiser accounts, according to the report.

The number of ads removed has increased by 2 billion compared to 2021. Google blocked or restricted advertising on more than 1.5 billion publisher pages and adopted a wider range of site-level violations on more than 143000 publisher sites.

In addition, in order to enable users to have the safest possible online experience, Google added or updated 29 policies for advertisers and publishers in 2022. These include the introduction of financial services verification programs for 10 new countries, the implementation of broader protection measures for teenagers, and the strengthening of campaign advertising policies.

According to reports, for advertising management, Google will launch a new transparency tool: advertising Information Disclosure Center. This is a searchable repository of verified advertisers on Google platforms such as Google search, Google Discovery and YouTube. Through this tool, users can search for specific advertiser information and view the advertiser page.
