According to the data, in 2022, GAC Group realized a total operating income of about 514.605 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of about 19.74%; the total operating income of the consolidated caliber was about 110.006 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of about 45.36%; the net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies was about 8.068 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of about 10.00%.

In 2022, the total gross profit of GAC Group was CNY 5.974 billion, an increase of 30.21% compared with the same period last year, and the gross profit margin was 5.43%, 0.63% lower than that of the same period last year. Among them, the gross profit margin of vehicle manufacturing field was 3.03%, down 1.04% year-on-year. According to the report, it was mainly due to the Group overcoming the impact of shortage of automobile chip supply and rising raw material prices, the year-on-year growth in production and sales of self-owned brand models, and the corresponding increase in costs and economies of scale.

CTOnews.com learned from the report that in terms of sales volume, GAC Group sold 2,433,800 vehicles in 2022, with a year-on-year growth of 13.50%, including 309,500 new energy vehicles, with a year-on-year growth of 116.69%. In addition, the sales volume of self-owned brands of GAC Group in 2022 was 633,700 vehicles, among which the sales volume of new energy vehicles accounted for about 43%; the sales volume of joint-venture brand vehicles reached 1.8 million vehicles, with a year-on-year growth of 5.89%.

Specific to each brand, the annual sales volume of GAC passenger vehicles was 362,500 vehicles, with a year-on-year growth of 11.83%; the annual sales volume of GAC Ai Safety was 271,200 vehicles, with a year-on-year growth of 125.67%; the production and sales volume of GAC Toyota exceeded 1 million vehicles, with a year-on-year growth of more than 20%; and the cumulative production and sales volume of GAC Honda exceeded 740,000 vehicles throughout the year.

At the 2022 Guangzhou Auto Show held at the end of last year, GAC Group issued the 2030"Trillion GAC 1578 Development Outline," proposing to strive to achieve the goal of producing and selling more than 4.75 million vehicles, revenue of 1 trillion yuan and profits and taxes of 100 billion yuan by 2030. For 2023, GAC Group said it would challenge the target of 10% year-on-year growth in automobile production and sales.
