CTOnews.com March 30, Apple announced that it will hold Apple Global developer Conference (WWDC 2023) from June 6 to 10, Beijing time.

Like WWDC in 2020, 2021 and 2022, WWDC in 2023 will be mostly an online event that will be available to all developers free of charge.

Apple will offer online meetings and labs, which will make developers aware of the new features and software that will be announced by General WWDC. There will also be a traditional Swift Student Challenge, with Apple accepting applications by April 19.

According to CTOnews.com, although WWDC 2023 will be held online again, Apple is planning an all-day special event for selected developers and students, which will be held at Apple Park on June 5 PST. Attendees will be able to watch keynote speeches and State of the Union videos, meet with some Apple employees, and participate in the Apple Design Award. Apple held a similar event last year.

Current Apple developer Program members, alumni of Apple Entrepreneurship Camp, former Swift Student Challenge winners and current Apple developer Enterprise Program members can submit applications to participate in the Apple Orchard event. Apple plans to select participants by drawing lots at random.

Apple will host a WWDC-themed event on June 6, featuring iOS 17, iPadOS 17, tvOS 17, watchOS 10 and macOS 14, as well as possible new hardware releases. This year's event is expected to focus on the AR / VR headset that Apple is developing, as well as the Mac Pro and 15-inch MacBook Air.

Until 2020, WWDC was a live event at the McEnery conference center in San Jose, but even if the epidemic was over, Apple would choose an online-focused event. The online format allows more developers to get the WWDC experience because there are no restrictions on attendance.
