The total annual revenue reached 94.2 billion yuan, an increase of 16.2% over the same period last year, exceeding market expectations. The adjusted net loss was 5.751 billion yuan, which was significantly narrowed by 69.5% compared with the same period last year. After adjustment, EBITDA became a regular employee, reaching 1.815 billion yuan.

In 2022, Kuaishou domestic business made a profit at the operating level, with an operating profit of 192 million yuan. By comparison, in the same period in 2021, the operating loss of domestic business was 8.68 billion yuan.

Kuaishou's revenue mainly comes from online marketing services, live streaming and other services. Among them, online marketing services (advertising) is the largest source of income.

In 2022, revenue from online marketing services increased by 14.9% to 49 billion yuan compared with the same period last year, mainly due to the growth of platform traffic, diversified product portfolio and fine operation based on industry attributes, driving the increase in the number and delivery of advertisers, especially from e-commerce merchants.

The revenue of the live broadcast business increased by 14.2% from 31 billion yuan in 2021 to 35.4 billion yuan in 2022, due to an increase of 19.4% in average monthly subscribers. Revenue from other services increased by 31.4% from 7.4 billion yuan in 2021 to 9.8 billion yuan in 2022, mainly from the growth of e-commerce business and thanks to the increase in the total volume of e-commerce merchandise transactions.

The total value of Kuaishou e-commerce transactions (GMV) increased by 32.5% year-on-year to 901.2 billion in 2022, according to the financial report. Despite the impact of supply chain and logistics in the fourth quarter, e-commerce GMV reached a new quarterly high of 312.4 billion yuan.

In terms of operational data, in the fourth quarter of 2022, the average number of daily active users of Kuaishou increased by 13.3% year-on-year to 366 million, and the average number of monthly active users reached 640 million. The atmosphere of social interaction and trust on the platform continued to strengthen, with 26.7 billion pairs of users following each other as of the end of December last year, an increase of 63.4 per cent over the same period last year.
