Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
Among the many flowers that bloom in spring, yellow accounts for a large part, and among these flowers, I especially like Ditang. Maybe it's because I got to know each other earlier, and somehow I have a special feeling in it.
In my impression, the flowers are usually densely branched, blooming and blooming with leaves, which is very suitable for planting hedges and flower hedges. If planted in ditches or rivers on both sides, the flowers shadow according to the water, falling flowers light, minutes earlier than the florescence of spring or Yunnan Jasminum looks good.
Tripterygium is a deciduous shrub in Rosaceae. Although it is not a precious flower, it is dazzling when it is in full bloom. Add a piece of green foil, more beautiful and handsome.
In ancient times, there is a legend that the golden flowers of Ditang are changed into gold, and some people say that its color is like the "royal robe yellow".
The Emperor Huizong of the Song Dynasty, who could do anything, was unfit to be a monarch. He once wrote "Ditang Flowers": "all the flowers are red and purple all over the couplets, but the time is very different. But it looks like tens of millions of gold, a random Jasper head shop."
In his poem, when it comes to the color of Ditang, it is different from the red and purple of many fragrances, but it looks like tens of millions of gold. This "trowel" is pronounced as a silver coin, referring to "instruments such as boxes and cages". "gold" means a box of gold.
Can imagine, in the colorful spring, green leaves crisscross spread, but I do not know who sprinkled a box of gold, a little dazzling, this should be how bright and bright.
Back to the point, I have always felt that to know a plant, it is not enough to look at the official Chinese scientific name, but also to look at its common name. Because most of these names are more vivid, approachable and easy to understand, they can almost summarize the characteristics.
For example, one of the common names of Ditang, the yolk flower, refers to its color. There is another one called Tuhuang Tiao, which, as the name implies, embodies the shape of Diantang, with several slender branches growing together and golden flowers embellished among them.
However, what impresses me most and never forgets it after knowing it is the leaves of Ditang.
Its alternate leaves are usually triangular or oval, the tip is long acuminate, the base is round, truncate or heart-shaped, the edge is sharp double serrated, both sides are green, look very much like elm trees, plus yellow flowers, so it got the common name of Huang Yumei.
Ditang is native to eastern Asia and is wild in most provinces and regions in China. It usually has two different forms, one is single, the other is double.
The single flower is original, with only 5 petals and a complete pistil and stamen. This is the "serious" Ditang flower.
The double Diantang flower is regarded as a variant of the original species, which is the protagonist of this photo. Its flower shape looks spherical, the petals are dense, and the pistils and stamens are not visible.
Some people may think that the double flower is a horticultural species, but in fact it is not artificially cultivated, but a natural phenomenon of double petals, mainly distributed in Sichuan and Yunnan in southwestern China. However, because the flowers are in full bloom, the application in the garden is far greater than that of the original species.
In the Flower Mirror of the Qing Dynasty, Chen Xie had a record of Ditang: "the flowers of Ditang are clumped with vines, the leaves are in full bloom, pointed and small, and the edges are like jagged teeth. March flowering, golden yellow, round like a small ball, a leaf and a stamen, but numerous but not fragrant." Later, in his "textual Research on the name of plants", Wu Qiyi said bluntly: "Datang has flowers but no fruit."
Obviously, "round like a small ball" and "flowers without fruit" are all talking about double-petal tang, and they all reflect that people had already carried out cuttage breeding of double-petal tang at that time, otherwise it would not have been passed down at all. However, there is a saying that the survival rate of Ditang cuttage is very high.
In addition, there are two common horticultural varieties of Diantang, namely Phnom Penh and Yinbian Diantang. As you can imagine from the words, the edges of the leaves must be golden yellow and silver white respectively.
By the way, Ditang is called mountain blowing in Japan, and the traditional Japanese color "mountain blowing color" refers to the color of Ditang flowers. Because many people think that the Ditang flower is not pure golden, nor is it ordinary yellow, nor is it simple orange. Since it is difficult to classify into any kind of common yellow, let's just call the mountain blowing yellow.
