According to reports, WeChat Mini Programs will next mainly focus on four parts, including improving the speed of operation, reducing the occupation of resources, the introduction of transaction protection certification and so on.

Wechat said that they have been committed to optimizing the basic performance since the birth of mini programs. At present, the average startup time has been less than two seconds, and after the optimization, all models can run more smoothly.

Officials say WeChat Mini Programs will make another major update to the underlying capabilities and framework in 2023 to halve the overall page opening time and ensure that the overall resource occupancy rate can also be greatly reduced.

In addition, Wechat will also launch transaction protection certification for Mini Program this year, requiring every merchant to handle 100 per cent of consumer complaints, after-sales service must be completed within 24 hours, and the non-response rate must be less than 1 per cent.

For the development of Mini Program, Wechat also announced that it will launch a new version 3.0, and plans to launch a new one-stop development platform this year to meet the development needs of Mini Program service developers in areas such as H5 and App.
