In 2022, SMIC achieved revenue of 49.516 billion yuan, up 39% from the same period last year; net profit of 12.133 billion yuan, up 13% from the same period last year; net profit of 12.133 billion yuan, up 13% from the same period last year; and basic earnings per share of 1.53 yuan. It is proposed that there will be no profit distribution in 2022.

In terms of breakdown, SMIC produced 7510811 wafers and sold 7098458 in 2022, and sales in the integrated circuit industry reached $7.27 billion (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 50.09 billion yuan), an increase of 33.6% year-on-year, while gross profit margin reached 38.0%, an increase of 7.2%.

If you look at devices, SMIC accounts for 27% of smartphone revenue, 14.1% for smart homes, 23% for consumer electronics, and 359% for other devices; if you look at wafer size, 8-inch wafers account for 33% of 12 inches and 67%.

From a regional perspective, its Chinese customers account for 74.2% of its revenue, 20.8% of its American customers and 5% of its Eurasian customers.

In terms of R & D investment, SMIC invested US $733 million in 2022 and successfully developed a variety of technology nodes from 0.35um to FinFET, which are mainly used in logical process technology platform and characteristic process technology platform.

In 2022, SMIC 28nm high voltage display drive process platform, 55nm BCD platform first stage, 90nm BCD process platform and 0.11um silicon-based OLED process platform have completed research and development and entered small batch trial production.

In addition, SMIC has a number of platform projects under development as planned in 2022, such as the 28 nm HKD ultra-low power platform project and so on.

Financial summary revenue grew from $5.44 billion in 2021 to $7.27 billion in 2022.

Gross profit margin increased from 30.8% in 2021 to 38.0% in 2022.

Net profit belonging to shareholders of listed companies increased from $1.7 billion in 2021 to $1.82 billion in 2022.
