CTOnews.com March 28, the OpenMandriva team recently released OpenMandriva Lx 23.03, a new update installation of OpenMandriva Lx's "ROME" rolling release version, which uses some of the latest technologies.

This version upgrades the kernel to the latest Linux 6.2, with KDE Plasma 5.27 LTS desktop environment series, KDE Frameworks 5.104 and KDE Gear 22.12.3 software suites, and new Flatpak generic and sandboxie binary format support.

Most importantly, OpenMandriva Lx 23.03 is equipped with the latest Mesa 23 graphics stack, Wayland 1.21.0, XOrg Server 21.1.7, LLVM / Clang 15.0.7, GNU Binutils 2.40, GCC 12.2, GNU C Library 2.37, systemd 253 and Calamares 3.2.61 graphics installer.

The various applications included have also been updated to the latest version. In this release, users can use LibreOffice 7.5.1 Office Suite, Firefox 111and Chromium 110browsers, Krita 5.1.5, digiKam 7.9 and GIMP 2.10.34 image editors, Calligra Suite 3.2.1, SMPlayer 22.7.0 and VLC 3.0.18 video players, VirtualBox 7.0.6, etc.
