Weixing said that when the B660 and B760 motherboards are matched with 13-generation core processors, the default voltage given to the motherboard is higher, resulting in obvious CPU power consumption and heat generation. The main difference between B-prefix chipset and Z-prefix chipset is not only the lack of CPU super-doubling ability, but also the lack of CEP current overload protection function, which leads to the decline of CPU performance once the voltage is lowered. The power consumption of CPU is directly related to the load and voltage, the higher the voltage, the higher the power consumption and temperature, so many people will try the lowest stable voltage when overclocking. Due to the lack of CEP function of the B-prefix chipset, there is a problem of high voltage and temperature when using the 13-generation Core CPU.

As a result, MSI will launch this new feature, which will maintain or even improve performance when the CPU voltage is reduced.

In terms of effect, the one-button cooling function can reduce the CPU temperature by 5-6 degrees Celsius, and the CPU running score is also slightly improved. One-button overclocking can increase the running score by about 2% while the temperature is basically the same.

This function is not only suitable for B660M / B760M Max series motherboards, but also supports Z690 and Z790 motherboards.
