CTOnews.com, March 28 (Xinhua)-- Oracle announced a further expansion of its partnership with NVIDIA to run strategic NVIDIA AI applications on the new Oracle Cloud Infrastructure remote Software Service (CTOnews.com Note: OCI) Supercluster. Nvidia chose OCI as the enterprise's ultra-large-scale cloud technology provider, providing large-scale AI supercomputing service NVIDIA DGX Cloud. In addition, Nvidia is running its generative AI cloud service NVIDIA AI Foundations, which is provided through OCI-based DGX Cloud.

NVIDIA DGX Cloud and the NVIDIA AI Foundations services on which it runs utilize Nvidia certified OCI Supercluster to ensure that it conforms to the high standards of DGX Cloud.

OCI Supercluster includes OCI Compute Bare Metal, ultra-low latency RoCE clusters based on NVIDIA networks, and options for HPC storage. Nvidia has deployed and validated the super cluster to support thousands of OCI Compute Bare Metal instances to efficiently handle massively parallel applications. The OCI Supercluster network can now scale to 4096 OCI Compute Bare Metal instances using 32768 A100 GPU. There is now a limited supply of OCI Compute Bare Metal instances with NVIDIA H100 GPU.

In addition, Nvidia announced that Oracle is adding NVIDIA BlueField-3 DPU to its network stack.

NVIDIA AI Foundations modeling services cover language, graphics, video and 3D, as well as biology. Enterprises can use NVIDIA NeMo language services and NVIDIA Picasso image, video and 3D services to build proprietary, domain-specific generative AI applications to achieve intelligent chat and customer support, professional content creation, digital simulation, and so on. For biological AI model training and inference, NVIDIA BioNeMo cloud services provide tools for rapid customization and deployment of spanning AI applications.

On OCI, custom models using NVIDIA AI Foundations and a family of models like GPT-3 can benefit from OCI Supercluster, including a purpose-built RDMA network. The network provides near-line-rate performance and microsecond latency and removes barriers to RDMA-dependent workloads.
