CTOnews.com, March 27 (Xinhua)-- Apple's iPhone 13 is the best-selling smartphone in China in 2022, with the iPhone 13 series accounting for three of the top 10 sales.

China's smartphone market is a very important market for Apple and remains ahead of the fierce competition. The new data show that this is largely due to the iPhone 13 series.

According to data released by Counterpoint Research, the iPhone 13 is the best-selling smartphone in terms of sales in China in 2022. This alone gained 6.6% of the market share, up from 2.3% in 2021.

IPhone 13 was followed by iPhone 13 Pro Max and iPhone 13 Pro, ranking second and third with 2.2 per cent and 1.9 per cent, respectively.

This is also the first time that Apple's iPhone Pro model has entered the top 10 list in China.

Apple's iPhone not only occupies the top three in the list of purchases, but also accounts for more than 10 per cent of smartphone sales in China for the year.

In the remaining top 10, Glory has four seats, vivo has two, and OPPO has one shortlist. With the exception of the iPhone series, all the other products in the top 10 cost less than $500 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 3435 yuan), indicating that Apple is still active and good at the top end of the market.

Counterpoint predicts that the sales share of the top 10 models in 2023 will continue to decline from the flat 22% share in 2022, in part because of "continued decline in annual sales". In January 2023, however, there were signs that mobile phone sales in the market were beginning to recover.

The top 10 models include: iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone 13 Pro, Glory X30, OPPO A565G, Glory Play 30 Plus, vivo Y33s 5G, Glory 60, vivo Y76s, Glory Play 20.
