CTOnews.com March 27 news, GAC GROUP issued an announcement: the holding subsidiary GAC Ean AH8 project has changed from joint development with Huawei to independent development, after this change Huawei will continue to participate in the development and cooperation of the company's own brand models as an important supplier; the total investment of the project will be adjusted from 925 million yuan to 1.233 billion yuan.

CTOnews.com has reported that GAC GROUP announced in July last year that he had agreed to the implementation of the subsidiary Ian and Huawei (AH8 model) project. This also means that after Ean became BAIC and Changan, the third car company confirmed to be equipped with Huawei Huawei Inside model.

According to the strategic cooperation agreement signed by Ean and Huawei, the two sides will build a new generation of smart vehicle digital platform based on GAC GEP3.0 chassis platform and Huawei CCA (Computing and Communication Architecture), with Huawei's full stack smart car solution, joint definition, joint development, and jointly build a series of smart vehicles for the future.

On August 13 last year, Xiao Yong, deputy general manager of GAC Ean, complained at a conference forum, "Huawei is a big-name supplier. Its price is relatively high and it is not controlled. If we want to cooperate with Huawei, we will find that we basically have no bargaining power."

According to Caixin, a source close to Huawei revealed that the deep cooperation project between Huawei and GAC EA has been suspended, and the two sides now have a relationship between parts supply and procurement. In response to this news, the relevant person in charge of EAN said in response to the interface news, "it is not true, our cooperation project with Huawei is still in normal progress", Huawei has not responded.
