At the conference, ROMA, the world's first notebook computer developed by RISC-V, was officially released, which is equipped with the openKylin operating system by default.

Led by the RISC-V Foundation, ROMA is the world's first native RISC-V development notebook computer with in-depth digital intelligence development and technology debugging, allowing users to experience native RISC-V development and RISC-V software ecosystem.

ROMA notebooks are packaged with 12nm (Professional Edition) / 28nm (Standard Edition) SoM; quad-core RISC-V chips with GPU, NPU and functional accelerators; and upgradeable SoC motherboards.

The previous pre-order interface showed that the ROMA laptop will use a quad-core RISC-V processor, an Arm SC300 security processing unit, a GPU / NPU accelerator for video work, LPDDR4 or LPDDR4X memory that supports 16GB, and 256GB storage. The machine will support most RISC-V distributions and will have RISC-V keys, which may be shortcuts or custom keys for the development environment.

RISC-V SoM chip products using the same style of ROMA will be available from 2023 to 2024 to provide a more comprehensive product development experience for RISC-V developers and enthusiasts.

In terms of software ecology, the RISC-V high-performance compiler developed by forensic technology has adapted to ROMA notebooks, and is compatible with mainstream compilers such as Clang, LLVM and so on. It is a high-performance RISC-V compiler in the market at present. Forensic Technology's RISC-V high-performance compiler is specifically optimized for the Pingtou Gexuan iron C910 open source IP core to support the seL4 microkernel. It is the key factor that the upper application software runs on the ROMA notebook.
