Reported that Samsung President Lee Jae-yong held a meeting with senior executives of the company's chip department on the 20th. Some executives raised the need to cut production, while Mr Lee decided not to cut production. According to the report, Samsung is likely to hold another seminar in early April before releasing its first-quarter preliminary results, or change its position of not cutting production.

Earlier, according to a number of South Korean media quoted NH investment securities as saying that Samsung is carrying out a substantial reduction in production. Samsung orders fell by more than 30% in the first quarter of 2023, according to some test and parts manufacturers.
