CTOnews.com, March 27 (Xinhua)-- Samsung today released a new generation of Exynos modems, Exynos 5300, which is expected to be the first to be used in Google's Pixel 8 series of phones, according to SAMMOBILE.

According to the news, Samsung Exynos 5300 modems are manufactured by Samsung 4nm process, which is more energy-efficient than previous products. This modem provides peak download speeds up to 10Gbps and peak upload speeds up to 3.87Gbps, with ultra-low latency, and supports FR1, FR2 and EN-DC technologies. In addition, Exynos 5300 also supports millimeter waves in SA and NSA modes and 5G networks below 60Hz. In LTE mode, Exynos 5300 supports peak download speeds up to 3Gbps and peak upload speeds up to 422Mbps, and it can also connect to smartphone chipsets through PCIe.

However, Samsung did not disclose whether the modem supports dual-card dual-standby function.
