CTOnews.com March 27 news, domestic bilibili UP master @ Jiecheng Ansui-YuuKi_AnS shared a set of internal demonstration documents about Intel's next-generation Xeon processors. Screenshots of tweets show that these documents can be traced back to 2021, which may be different from the actual situation.

According to the information shown in the presentation, Intel hopes to improve the performance of Granite Rapids-SP with more than 80 cores by up to 40%, while Granite Rapids-AP with more than 120 cores can double its performance.

Bilibili's UP host also shared the HD motherboard information of LGA 7529, which supports Xeon flagship processors such as Granite Rapids and Sierra Forest, but neither of these products will be launched this year.

CTOnews.com Note: Granite and Sierra are not the same product. The former is designed for the Redwood Cove "Performance" kernel, while the other uses only the Efficient kernel. Granite Rapids and Sierra Forest processors will be upgraded to use a platform called Birch Stream.

The presentation shows that up to 8 channels of DDR5-6400 memory are supported on Socket E (LGA-4677) factory-supported 350W TDP CPU and 88 PCIe Gen5 channels.

The more advanced Socket BR (LGA-7529) platform will support 12 channels of DDR5-6400 memory and up to 96 PCIe Gen5 channels. Both platforms support 64 CXL 2.0 channels.
