First, the overall operation of the software business revenue maintained double-digit growth. From January to February, China's software business income was 1.4461 trillion yuan, an increase of 11% over the same period last year.

The growth of total profits accelerated. From January to February, the profits of the software industry totaled 176.9 billion yuan, an increase of 12.2% over the same period last year.

The export of software business increased steadily. From January to February, software business exports totaled US $7.8 billion, up 1.1 per cent from the same period last year. Among them, the export of software outsourcing services increased by 9.4% over the same period last year.

Second, the operation of software products in different areas is basically stable. From January to February, the revenue of software products was 337.9 billion yuan, an increase of 9.5% over the same period last year, accounting for 23.4% of the industry's income. Of this total, revenue from industrial software products totaled 39 billion yuan, an increase of 13.6 percent over the same period last year.

Revenue from information technology services maintained double-digit growth. From January to February, the income of information technology services was 943.4 billion yuan, an increase of 11.6 percent over the same period last year, accounting for 65.2 percent of the industry's income. Of this total, the revenue from cloud computing and big data services totaled 176.1 billion yuan, up 13.3 percent from the same period last year, accounting for 18.7 percent of the information technology service revenue; the integrated circuit design revenue was 40.3 billion yuan, up 8.5 percent from the same period last year; and the technical service revenue from e-commerce platform was 128.9 billion yuan, up 0.2 percent from the same period last year.

The income of information security is rising steadily. From January to February, revenue from information security products and services totaled 30.1 billion yuan, an increase of 14.2 percent over the same period last year.

The revenue of embedded system software is growing steadily. From January to February, the revenue of embedded system software was 134.7 billion yuan, an increase of 9.7% over the same period last year.

III. Operation by region the revenue of the software industry in the northeast is growing faster, and the growth in the eastern region is outstanding. From January to February, the revenue from software business completed in the eastern region was 1.2244 trillion yuan, an increase of 11.2% over the same period last year, 0.2% higher than the overall level of the industry as a whole; the revenue from software business in the central region was 47.6 billion yuan, up 10.3% from the same period last year; the revenue from software business in the western region was 149.2 billion yuan, up 9.9% from the same period last year; and the revenue from software business in the northeast region was 24.9 billion yuan, an increase of 9.4% over the same period last year. The software business income of the four regions accounted for 84.7%, 3.3%, 10.3% and 1.7% of the total national income, respectively.

The share of income in major software provinces increased slightly. From January to February, among the top five provinces with software business revenue, the software revenue of Beijing, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shandong and Zhejiang provinces was 316.3 billion yuan, 271.4 billion yuan, 188 billion yuan, 148 billion yuan and 127 billion yuan respectively, an increase of 12.7%, 14.5%, 9.0%, 15.8% and 3.9% respectively. The total software business income of the five provinces (cities) was 65074 yuan, accounting for 72.7% of the country. It accounted for an increase of 0.5 percentage points over the same period last year.

The revenue of software business in the central city is growing steadily. From January to February, the software business income of 15 vice-provincial central cities across the country reached 743.1 billion yuan, an increase of 10.0 percent over the same period last year, accounting for 51.4 percent of the national software business income, accounting for 0.5 percentage points lower than the same period last year. Among them, the growth rate of software business income in Chengdu, Jinan, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Dalian exceeds that of the industry as a whole.
