CTOnews.com March 27, according to foreign science and technology media InfoWorld reports, Microsoft released TypeScript version 5.0on March 16th. Microsoft says the new version is smaller, easier for developers to use and faster to run.

TypeScript 5.0introduces a new decorators standard, adds new features to better support ESM projects in Node and its bundles, provides library owners with a new way to control generic reasoning (generic inference), extends JSDoc functionality, simplifies configuration, and makes many other improvements.

In this update, the size of the ECMAScript module has been greatly reduced and the running performance has been improved. Decorators is also allowed to be placed before or after export and export default.

Also in TypeScript 5.0, developers can now add const modifiers to type parameter declarations to make const-like inference the default.
