Sinopec's oil and gas equivalent output reached an all-time high, including 35.3226 million tons of crude oil and 35.365 billion cubic meters of natural gas, an increase of 4.1 percent over the same period last year and the best profit in nearly a decade. 242 million tons of processed crude oil, total sales volume of refined oil reached 207 million tons, and ethylene output reached 13.44 million tons.

Sinopec said that the refined oil sales business has stepped up efforts to tackle key problems in the market, and profits have risen steadily. For the whole year, the total economic sales of refined oil was 207 million tons, diesel sales increased by 8.6 percent over the same period last year, and retail sales of automotive LNG increased by 9.7 percent over the same period last year. We actively opened up the low-sulfur ship combustion market, continued to improve the quality and efficiency of non-oil business, increased operating profits by 6 percent over the same period last year, accelerated the construction of a new energy service network, had the largest number of hydrogen filling stations in the world, and continued to put into operation such as recharging stations and carbon neutral gas stations.

According to the CTOnews.com inquiry report, Sinopec applied for 8687 patents at home and abroad in 2022, granted 6289 patents at home and abroad, and won 1 Chinese patent gold award, 1 silver award and 4 excellence awards.

Looking ahead to 2023, Sinopec said that with the overall improvement of China's economy, domestic demand for natural gas, oil products and chemical products is expected to grow rapidly.
