CTOnews.com, March 26, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reported that Apple changed the strategy of iOS 17 later in its development process, adding several new features, suggesting that the update may be more important than previously thought.

Gurman said in January that the update to iOS 17 may not be as important as previous major versions because Apple pays close attention to the new MR headlines. Gurman said in his latest Power On newsletter that Apple has changed its strategy during the update development process and added several new features:

When Apple started developing the iOS at 17:00, the original idea was to call it a tweaked version-a version that focused more on fixing bugs and improving performance than adding new features. Later, however, the strategy of iOS 17 changed during the development process. IOS 17 is now expected to have several "good" features, even if it lacks key improvements like the iOS 16 lock screen. IOS 17 is code-named "Dawn" and the goal is to add the features that users need most.

According to Apple's previous release rules, iOS 17 is expected to be unveiled at Apple's Global developer Conference in June and a preview version will be released. The update may provide a series of enhancements and new features, such as next-generation CarPlay, improvements to Siri, support for side loads and third-party app stores, support for MR headers, and so on, and CTOnews.com will follow up on the news.
