It was full of trees and flowers and did not have many leaves. This is the case of flowers before leaves in many plants, and the reason, as mentioned before, is that leaf buds and flower buds require different amounts of heat to grow.

If you take a closer look at the specific flowers, they are uniformly single and have obvious long pedicels.

In several species of Rosaceae that are easy to be confused, the pedicels of plum blossom, peach blossom and apricot blossom are short to none, that is, they basically grow close to the branches. On the other hand, cherry blossoms, plum blossoms and pear blossoms have long pedicels. Obviously, it is not the first three, so we have to try to start with the last three.

The petals of the cherry blossoms have an iconic engraving, while the petals of this plant are oblong, the apex is fully lubricated and excluded. As for pear blossoms, their designs and colors are generally white and are also excluded. In the end, the flowers of the genus Prunus are the most likely.

But the plum blossom blossoms in clusters, and this flower grows alone. In addition, the number of petals is at least ten or twenty, and there are many stamens in the center of the dark purple flower, which belongs to semidouble, excluding purple-leaf plums in the genus Prunus. But this flower must still have the gene of plum flower.

And only the new leaves of Mei Mei are purple, and when they grow up, they are green, while the leaves of purple leaf plums are purple from beginning to end.

In addition, compared with other Rosaceae plants, Mei Mei gives me the greatest feeling that there is often a blush in its pink petals and broken petals in the center of the flower, which are the stamens after petal. And the pistil is also extremely degenerated, very small.

As for the beautiful plum's calyx is also quite characteristic, I specially observed, in addition to nearly round to flat round this feature, but also found that some calyx will be reflexed, some are not reflexed or not obvious.
