Longlong high-speed railway starts from Longyan Station of Ganruilong Railway in the east and connects with Ganshen passenger dedicated line to Longchuan West Station in the west. It consists of three parts: Longyan to Wuping, Wuping to the west of Meizhou and west of Meizhou to the west of Longchuan. The Longyan-Gutian site section is a double-track high-speed railway with a total length of 265.47 kilometers and is designed to run at a speed of 250km per hour.

According to the construction plan, 127.69 kilometers of track has been laid on the Fujian section, which is scheduled to be completed in mid-June and is expected to be ready for opening by the end of November this year. According to CTOnews.com 's previous report, the Fujian section of the Longlong high-speed railway was completed on March 18.

The railway department said that Longlong high-speed railway is the regional link of the national "medium-and long-term railway network planning". The section from Longyan to Wuping is located in Longyan City, Fujian Province, an old revolutionary base, and is connected to Nanlong Railway, Ganruilong Railway and Longxia Railway.

After the Longlong high-speed railway is completed and opened to traffic, it will put an end to the history that Wuping County in the Central Soviet area is closed to railways, and will also allow the old areas of Longyan City in Fujian Province and Heyuan City in Guangdong Province to add a new fast railway channel, which will further promote the regional economic development of Fujian and Guangdong provinces and form the third railway corridor between Fujian and Guangdong provinces after the Zhanglong Railway and the Xiamen-Shenzhen Railway.
