SPAM/SAINT update

Note the prerequisites for installing the upgrade package:

About SAP_OCS component upgrade-that is, upgrade spam/sainst (you can upgrade to the latest across packages, in which you will be prompted for package is obsolete)

1 support package of sap system must be installed through SPAM/SAINST

SPAM is used to install Support Package

SAINST is used to install add-on

2 before installing support package and add-on, it is best to upgrade spam/sainst to the latest version. About the current version can be seen in tcode SPAM, for example, 640 Universe 0017. Followed by the number of the current package. Then go to sap's website to download the latest spam packages, most of which are CAR files. You can use sapcar.exe to solve the ATT and two files. They unzipped it to Trans\ EPS\ IN-I didn't make it here.

However, you can upload these packages through load-from frontend in spma's support package menu, and automatically decompress the two files to the EPS/IN folder in the process.

3 then update it under the support package menu-update spam/sainst

Note that since my spam was originally 17, I downloaded 26 27 28 29 four packages, I upload them all to the application server, but in this way the system can only recognize the highest 29 in update. Others will not be imported, problems can easily occur, and there is no downgrade method.

Pack the last package on the production machine, and do a full backup before each upgrade, and manually downgrade it (preferably offline backup). It is said that ecc6 does not support offline backup, so it is best to back up and upgrade when sap stops.

Finally, note: SAP upgrade spam/sainst is to upgrade the component component SAP_OCS.

4 install support package through spam, SAP_BASIS the assembly before installing all other packages. The current package version displays the version number of the current package through the installed package in the directory area (some people also call the data number)

2. Installation of support package for SAP_BASIS components

1 download to the latest package, starting with SAPKB64009, just downloaded all the packages from 10 to SAPKB64022, pay attention to level-by-level upgrade is the best

2 through the spam menu, "support package"-"from frontend" to upload the package to application server, and also upload the extracted .att and .Pat back to the file E:\ usr\ sap\ trans\ EPS\ in.

3 Click "display/define", pop-up screen to select the sap component to be installed, here I select sap_basis, and then the system automatically finds the package SAPKB64010 that I have uploaded (for one level, hit me a package and upload a package, you can also upload at the same time, define the queue). Then just enter the car.

4 then click the car icon or menu "support package"-- "import queue" to start importing-error

The error is "phase CHECK_REQUIRMENTS:Explanation of Errors"

The general content of the error is to check that there is a data opening, decompression and release request, but this will be prevented from continuing when converting to DDIC. We must finish processing this before we can import it. For more information, see sap notes 328181 and 1083709.
