CTOnews.com March 23, Lenovo released the eighth generation of Lenovo Legion Slim laptops overseas tonight, including the new Legion Slim 7i and 7 (16 inches), Legion Slim 5i and Legion Slim 5 (16 inches) and this year's new size Legion Slim 5 (14 inches).

According to reports, the eighth generation Legion Slim 7i is equipped with i9-13900H processor, Legion Slim 7 is equipped with AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS processor, both are equipped with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU and 5600MHz DDR5 up to 32GB, the screen is optional 2K 240Hz VRR 500nit panel, and 3.2k 165Hz VRR 430nit panel is optional.

Officials say the laptop's thermal performance has been further improved thanks to the onboard Lenovo LA AI chip, which dynamically adjusts thermal performance to maximize frame rate and minimize noise, enabling Legion Slim 7i and 7 to release up to 140W TDP performance.

In other respects, the notebook is equipped with a maximum 99.99Wh battery, a 230W ultra-thin adapter, 140W charging on both USB-C ports, and a MediaTek Filogic 380Wi-Fi 7 network card. The series of notebooks are only 17.99mm at their thinnest point and weigh less than 2kg.

Lenovo Legion Slim 5 and 5i are available in 16-inch versions, as well as a 14-inch Legion Slim 5 with OLED panels.

In terms of configuration, the Legion Slim 5i has a maximum i7-13700H processor, while the Legion Slim 5 has a maximum AMD Ryzen 9 7840HS processor. Both models are equipped with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 laptop GPU, which can be configured with up to 32GB 5600Mhz DDR5 memory. The TDP of the Legion Slim 5i is as high as 160W, the thinnest part is as thin as 19.7mm and as light as 2.3kg.

Price and time of sale:

The Lenovo Legion Slim 7i, powered by an Intel Core processor, starts at $1769.99 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 12178 yuan) and is expected to go on sale in April 2023.
