CTOnews.com, March 23 (Xinhua)-- the Aerospace Science and Technology Group held the third innovation competition today, which demonstrated the new progress of China's spacecraft recycling technology and 60 other new achievements, according to the China Central Television Network.

Among them, a set of system for the recovery of booster and fairing of carrier rocket has entered the final stage of development. this system adopts the recovery mode of large parachute and is composed of parachutes, program control, telemetry and remote control and other subsystems. the main purpose of this system is to control and recover the separators such as booster and fairing which can be reused in rocket launch. At present, this technology has realized the rocket booster landing area control with parachute landing, entering the end of the test verification phase.

China's carrier rockets have been launched more than 50 times a year in the past two years. If the rocket separation recovery system is used, the launch cost of more than one billion yuan can be saved every year.

In addition, according to CTOnews.com, the competition also demonstrated the new achievements of space anti-radiation protection film, high-altitude high-resolution stereoscopic imaging lidar and so on.
