CTOnews.com March 23 news, the Simply NUC Topaz computer series is basically a customized version of the Intel NUC series, but will also make some breakthroughs. Now Simply NUC has released a new Topaz 3 mini computer with a choice of 28W Intel Core i5-1340p or Core i7-1360p processors priced at $669 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 4603 yuan) and $819 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 5635 yuan), and is expected to ship in April. Simply NUC also plans to launch low-cost models with Core i3-1315U chips in the coming months.

Simply NUC called Topaz 3 "the first widely used 13th generation 4 × 4 NUC", but ASRock NUCS BOX-1300 of similar size went on sale in February.

Simply NUC positions Topaz 3 as a "home theater to office to digital signage kiosk" solution and offers configuration options from 4GB DDR4 memory and 256GB PCIe SSD storage to 64GB dual channel memory and up to 10TB storage (with two M.2 slots, one supporting PCIe Gen 4 SSD and the other supporting only SATA SSD).

Customers can also choose a custom NUC configuration that can add USB, Ethernet, audio, video, or serial ports to the computer. Built-in ports include:

2 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C (with DisplayPort 1.4 alternating mode)

4 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A

1 HDMI 2.0b

1 x DisplayPort 1.4

2 x 2.5GbE Ethernet (Intel i225-LM)

1 x 3.5mm Audio

The computer comes with an Intel AX210 wireless card and supports Wi-Fi 6e and Bluetooth 5.3 as well as 90W power adapters.

Simply NUC offers a 3-year warranty and provides customers with pre-installed Ubuntu, Windows 10, or Windows 11 systems, but if you choose the latter option, you must pay an additional fee for the Windows license.
