CTOnews.com, March 23 (Xinhua)-- A federal jury in Los Angeles ruled in favor of Samsung Electronics in a trademark infringement case involving "S10" on Friday.

An agency called S10 Entertainment & Media LLC has filed a lawsuit against Samsung Electronics, arguing that Samsung's Galaxy S10 series phones and the company's brand are easy to confuse users.

CTOnews.com learned from court documents disclosed on Monday that the jury ruled that the agency did not have sufficient evidence that the Samsung S10 phone name infringed the agency's trademark.

The company said it registered the "S10" brand name in 2017, while Samsung launched the Galaxy S-series phones in 2010 and the Galaxy S10 phones in 2019.

S10 Entertainment argues that Samsung's ads mislead customers into believing that the two brands are related, on the grounds that Samsung uses a similar font and color scheme to the company, and that Samsung is working with musicians to promote it.
