What's new in Build 23419 creates real-time kernel memory dumps in the task manager

Microsoft has introduced a new set of developer-centric features in the task manager to help collect real-time kernel memory dumps (LKD). This complements the existing "memory dump" of user-mode processes. The goal of the kernel real-time dump is to collect data to eliminate exceptions, but to allow the operating system to continue to run. This reduces downtime compared to "non-fatal" but significant failures and suspended bug check.

To use a real-time kernel memory dump (LKD), go to the details page in the task manager, right-click the system process, and the context menu should be highlighted to display "create a real-time kernel memory dump file" for a complete real-time kernel or kernel stack memory dump.

The dump will be written to the fixed location:

% LocalAppData%\ Microsoft\ Windows\ TaskManager\ LiveKernelDumps

When you right-click the process on the details page of the Task Manager, select the new create Real-time Kernel memory dump File option. You can also go to the Task Manager Settings page to view / edit the settings for real-time kernel memory dumps.

Microsoft is adding USB4 Hub and device settings pages for users under Settings > Bluetooth and Devices > USB > USB4 Hub and Devices. USB4 provides a new productivity scenario for docking stations, high-performance peripherals, monitors, and charging. The USB4 Settings page provides information about the USB4 capabilities of the system and the peripherals connected to the system that supports USB4. If the user needs the support of the equipment manufacturer (OEM) or system administrator, these are designed to help with troubleshooting. The features provided on this page include:

Microsoft is trying some changes to make it easy for users to enter buzzwords in simplified Chinese. These changes include improved cloud recommendations and integrated search recommendations. Cloud recommends that the most relevant words in Bing be added to the IME candidate window. Microsoft has updated its back-end logic so that it can provide better and fresh advice.

Known problem [search on the taskbar]

After updating to Build 23403, some users may not see the search box on the taskbar or adjust the settings of the search box experience on the taskbar. Microsoft is aware of the problem and is in the process of fixing it.

On ARM64 devices, if you switch languages in the subtitle language menu for live subtitles, enhanced speech recognition support installed through the language and locale settings page will require real-time subtitles to be restarted.

Some languages displayed on the language and locale settings page indicate speech recognition support, such as Korean, but do not yet support real-time subtitles.

When you add a language through the language and region settings page, the progress of the language feature installation may be hidden, and you may not see the installation of enhanced speech recognition (which is required for real-time subtitles) complete. (you can use the language options of the language to monitor progress. If this happens, there may be unexpected delays in the real-time subtitle setting experience after these are detected and before you are allowed to continue

Subtitle performance in non-English languages may be degraded, and there is a lack of language barrier filtering in non-English (American) languages, which means that incorrect subtitles will be displayed for non-subtitle languages.
