There are many reasons for scratches, such as burrs in the lens cassette, aging and scratching of the camera's internal parts, and careless scratches during scanning.

General household perspective is not too sensitive to scratches, fine scratches and even do not remove dust can not be swept out, in addition, household sweeping often also has dust removal, in addition to scratches. However, for the whole scratch, it is often not handled well, and the pixels are confused.

Commercial scanners are more accurate, so scratches are obvious, and because the scanners are exposed during scanning, they will further magnify the originally subtle scratches. In color photos, scratches appear in color, mainly blue (not white).

Now let's decolorize the blue scratch (blue saturation is 0), and you can clearly feel the two white lines.

Normally, you should use the stain repair tool in PS. The new version of PS is already very powerful, but it is very time-consuming, and it still needs to be dealt with bit by bit when you encounter such a crossline, and it is not that mechanically. Because PS needs to be filled by the situation on both sides of your line, it is normal to make a mistake.

If you encounter black and white scratches, I'm sorry, you can only fix it a little bit like this, but when you encounter colored scratches, there are some opportunistic methods.

I use the color elimination method here, since you are blue scratches, I will remove the blue, after all, the area of the scratch itself is not large, it is a line.

In general film, if you do not use a lamp film, and do not face the blue scene, blue is very little, and scratches are generally blue, red, green is the scanner CCD fault, can not group color mainly. (blue and cyan are separated in PS, so many cyan feel a little blue even if you buckle blue out.)

So, just use PS to remove all the blue brightness and saturation, the picture will be much more harmonious, the blue scratches on the visual senses will disappear, and you can only see them clearly by zooming in to a great extent. Although scratches still exist objectively, they are not repaired but covered up, but on the whole it is still a very convenient method.

If you really want to keep improving, then I suggest you fix it bit by bit.

The most fatal disadvantage of this method is that when a clear blue appears in the picture, that blue will also be eliminated.

However, this method of adjusting the saturation to remove blue also has a strange effect when using 5213 film, which can well remove the blue reflected from the hair. Let's take a look at this:

Now the color deviation of the picture is not only caused by the red and blue mask, but 5213 is used as a light roll to shoot in the sun in a unique cool tone.

Let's first adjust the three color channels according to the curve:

The main thing here is to remove the red floating on the surface, but notice that the blue part is still unresolved. If you press blue with a curve, then red and green will increase, because the tricolor is balanced in the curve.

Therefore, a relatively simple and rude way is to directly eliminate blue.

Because the hair is not very blue, so there is no need to crush the blue completely, let's take a look at the final result:

Of course, there are friends who don't like this color, so they like the color of 5213 which is blue with a little candy color.

In fact, the current technology can even pinch people out, as you can see, AI painting is very popular recently, and the people painted are just like real people. Therefore, now the PS repair ability is also a lot stronger. However, although the tools are powerful, the process is still more complex, after all, the computer is not smart enough to recognize everything, and sometimes scratches happen to be in key details such as the eyes. Of course, my opportunistic approach doesn't actually eradicate the problem, but at least it feels better visually.
