CTOnews.com March 22, Microsoft's code hosting platform GitHub released Copilot X intelligent programming assistant, adding OpenAI chat function to the coding tool, so that programmers can ask how to accomplish certain coding tasks.

GitHub Copilot X is an updated version of GitHub Copilot, adding a ChatGPT-like chat interface to the code editor that allows chatbots to recognize and interpret code, and provide suggestions for changes and bug fixes. Developers can call up Copilot X in the sidebar of IDE and send commands to it.

Copilot X has a complete view of IDE, so it knows what developers are typing in the editor. GitHub uses several models from OpenAI to support its new chat and existing auto-completion features.
