According to the financial report, Zhihu realized revenue of 1.114 billion yuan in the fourth quarter, an increase of 9.3 percent over the same period last year, and a net loss of 180 million yuan, which narrowed 53.2 percent of the revenue in 2022 to 3.605 billion yuan, an increase of 21.8 percent over the same period last year.

In 2022, Zhihu had an average of 101.3 million monthly active users, and as of December 31, 2022, it had a total of 63.1 million content creators, contributing 505.9 million Q & A content, covering more than 1000 vertical areas.

In addition, the average monthly visits to Zhihu increased by 20.6% from 503.6 million in 2021 to 607.4 million in 2022. As of December 31, 2022, more than 74% of Zhihu's average monthly active users were under 30 years old, and in December 2022, female users accounted for 48.5% of Zhihu's average monthly active users.

CTOnews.com learned from Zhihu Financial report that Zhihu's advertising revenue decreased by 20.2% from 1.2 billion yuan in 2021 to 926.3 million yuan in 2022, while paid member income increased significantly from 668.5 million yuan in 2021 to 1.2 billion yuan in 2022, mainly due to the continuous increase in subscription members.
