According to CTOnews.com news on March 22, China Telecom announced today that in 2022, the company's operating income was 474.967 billion yuan, up 9.4 percent from the same period last year; its net profit was 27.59 billion yuan, up 6.3 percent from the same period last year; and basic earnings per share was 0.3 yuan. It is proposed to pay a cash dividend of 0.76 yuan for every 10 shares.

In 2022, the number of mobile users of the company reached 391 million, a net increase of 18.75 million; the number of 5G package users reached 268 million, with a penetration rate of 68.5%, an increase of 18.1% over the same period last year; ARPU of mobile users reached 45.2 yuan, an increase of 0.4% over the same period last year; broadband users reached 181 million, a net increase of 11.19 million; gigabit user penetration reached 16.8%, an increase of 9.1% over the same period last year The comprehensive broadband ARPU reached 46.3yuan, an increase of 0.9% over the same period last year.

According to CTOnews.com, the board of directors of China Telecom decided to recommend to the annual general meeting that the company pay a final dividend of RMB 0.076 per share (including tax) at the end of 2022, plus a dividend of RMB 0.120 per share (including tax) in mid-2022, and a dividend of RMB 0.196 per share (including tax) for the whole of 2022. The total dividend for the whole year is 65 per cent of the profits attributable to shareholders of the company.
