CTOnews.com March 22 news, CTOnews.com learned from the National Energy Administration website that the National Energy Administration released national power industry statistics from January to February on March 21.

According to the National Energy Administration, by the end of February, the country's cumulative installed power generation capacity was about 2.6 billion kilowatts, an increase of 8.5 percent over the same period last year. Of this total, the installed capacity of wind power is about 370 million kilowatts, an increase of 11.0 percent over the same period last year, and the installed capacity of solar power is about 410 million kilowatts, an increase of 30.8 percent over the same period last year.

From January to February, the cumulative average utilization of power generation equipment nationwide was 569 hours, 28 hours less than that of the same period last year. Of these, thermal power was 720 hours, 39 hours less than the same period last year; nuclear power 1209 hours, an increase of 14 hours over the same period last year; and wind power 401 hours, an increase of 78 hours over the same period last year.

From January to February, the country's major power generation enterprises completed an investment of 67.6 billion yuan in power supply projects, an increase of 43.6 percent over the same period last year. Of this total, nuclear power was 8.7 billion yuan, up 44.8 percent over the same period last year, and solar power generation was 28.3 billion yuan, up 199.9 percent over the same period last year. The investment in the power grid project was 31.9 billion yuan, an increase of 2.2% over the same period last year.
