According to data from the China Automobile Association, CTOnews.com learned that in February, automobile production and sales completed 203.2 million and 1.976 million vehicles respectively, up 27.5% and 19.8% respectively from the previous month, and 11.9% and 13.5% respectively over the same period last year. From January to February, automobile production and sales completed 362.6 million and 3.625 million vehicles respectively, down 14.5% and 15.2% respectively from the same period last year.

With regard to new energy vehicles, in February, the production and sales of new energy vehicles completed 552,000 and 525000 respectively, an increase of 48.8% and 55.9% respectively over the same period last year, and the market share reached 26.6%. From January to February, the production and sales of new energy vehicles completed 977,000 and 933000 respectively, an increase of 18.1% and 20.8% respectively over the same period last year, and the market share reached 25.7%.
