Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

Thank you, Mr. Air, a netizen of CTOnews.com, for your clue delivery! CTOnews.com March 22, Nvidia announced that starting from next year, BYD, the world's largest electric car manufacturer, will use the Nvidia Drive Orin centralized computing platform in its full range of vehicles, further expanding the use of DRIVE Orin in various models of its dynasty and ocean series cars, and bringing safer and smarter vehicles to the market.

Both NVIDIA and BYD believe that the cars of the future will be programmable, moving from many embedded controllers to high-performance centralized computers-delivered and enhanced through software updates throughout the car's life cycle.

According to reports, DRIVE Orin is the most powerful vehicle processor on the market, and since it was put into production last year, it has become the preferred AI engine for a new generation of new energy vehicles, robot taxis, buses and trucks in the industry.

As the first choice for automakers to schedule production in 2022, NVIDIA DRIVE Orin includes:

Up to 21 billion transistors

Integrated NVIDIA Ampere GPU architecture

12 Cortex-A78 ARM 64CPU

Deep Learning and computer Vision Accelerator

Can provide performance of 254 trillion operations per second

It is worth mentioning that BYD also announced earlier this year that it will enhance the in-car experience by introducing the NVIDIA GeForce NOW cloud gaming service, as previously reported by CTOnews.com.
