After the album app detects duplicate photos, it displays the corresponding number of duplicate photos in the Duplicates folder under the Utilities area. The user clicks to enter the folder and can choose to clean up the duplicate photos.

When the duplicate image detection feature was launched, it was limited to local photo album applications, while in the iOS 16.4 RC version, Apple said it could detect duplicate photos and videos in iCloud's shared photo gallery and reduce unnecessary space footage by merging duplicate photos / videos.
