CTOnews.com news on March 21, according to the website of the Shanxi Provincial Department of Industry and Informatization, the Shanxi Provincial Department of Industry and Informatization has now issued the 2023 Action Plan for the Integrated Development of Shanxi Informatization and industrialization (hereinafter referred to as the Action Plan).

The Action Plan points out that by the end of 2022, a total of 67000 5G base stations were built in Shanxi Province; the upgrading and upgrading project of communication network coverage along the high-speed railway was successfully completed; the bandwidth between the directly connected points of the national Internet backbone in Taiyuan reached 1800G, and the supporting capacity of network information and communication services continued to improve.

According to the Action Plan, by the end of 2023, 25000 new 5G base stations will be built in Shanxi Province, with a total of 92100 5G base stations built, and the construction of 5G base stations will be completed ahead of schedule.

CTOnews.com learned from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology that 887000 new 5G base stations were added in China in 2022, accounting for more than 60% of the total number of 5G base stations in the world. Earlier this month, Minister of Industry and Information Technology Jin Zhuanglong revealed that 600000 new 5G base stations will be opened this year, bringing the total to more than 2.9 million.
