Data show that Tesla's new car registration in the EU increased to 19249 in February from 12860 in the same period last year, an increase of 50 per cent over the same period last year, an increase higher than that of any car company in the EU market.

Tesla, which makes only pure electric vehicles (BEV), had a 19.8 per cent share of the BEV market in the EU in February, up from 18.5 per cent in the same period last year. Tesla has 2.4 per cent of the entire EU passenger car market, compared with 1.8 per cent in February last year.

CTOnews.com noted that Tesla sold a total of 116000 vehicles from January to February this year, an increase of 20.7 percent over the same period last year, according to the ride association data.
