Foreign media recently quoted data from South Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy as saying that in February this year, South Korea exported 62861 new energy vehicles, an increase of 61.1% over the same period last year, with an export value of US $2.02 billion (currently about 13.918 billion yuan), an increase of 83.4% over the same period last year.

In the report, foreign media also mentioned that whether in terms of export volume or export volume, February was the highest month for South Korean exports of new energy vehicles since statistics were available.

In addition, according to data released by South Korea, 30843 of the new energy vehicles they exported in February were electric vehicles, up 76.6 percent from the same period last year, and 26033 hybrid vehicles, up 48.8 percent from the same period last year.

Driven by the sharp increase in the export volume and export volume of new energy vehicles compared with the same period last year, South Korea's overall automobile exports and exports also increased significantly in February compared with the same period last year.

Data show that in February, South Korean car exports totaled 222934, up 34.8 percent from a year earlier; exports totaled $5.59 billion (currently about 38.515 billion yuan), up 47.1 percent from a year earlier and a record high.
